Special Events Information for 2019 Monday, 21st January  Full Moon   Rises when sun sets Friday, 8th February Alpha Centaurids A meteor shower in the constellation Centaurus (Southern skies), peaking in early February each year. The average magnitude is around 2.5, with a peak of about three meteors an hour. They have been observed since 1969. Tues./Wed., 12/13th February Close conjunction of Mars & Uranus To be seen in the Western evening skies   Can be viewed with binoculars. Mon./Tues., 18/19th February Venus & Jupiter close together   Eastern skies prior to dawn.
